This year the club is putting a big focus on getting juniors into the club. We are looking for youth 14 yrs and older. The club has a great group of people that train together with organized practices, technical training and varying workout levels.
The club is coached by a Triathlon Canada NCCP (level 3) Certified Coach, who is also an exercise physiologist (MSc), and the Provincial Coordinator/Coach for Triathlon New Brunswick.
In 2009, New Brunswick had a triathlon team at the Canada Summer Games, and in 2013 will be going again. Now is the perfect time to come out and start learning how to do a triathlon, or if you are already doing them to come out and learn how to get faster. There are provincial and national races every year we try and go to.
Triathlon is not always about speed - it is mainly about staying fit and having fun. Everybody is capable of doing a triathlon with a little practice. All you need is a bike (any type will do), some running shoes, a bathing suit, and the desire. If you are 14 or older, come out and give it a try (for free). If you like it, the membership is $45 for the year (which gives you discounts with our sponsors).
Monday night at Meanans Cove Beach, 6pm for biking and running. Saturday morning at Lily Lake, 8:30am for swimming and running.
